This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
As with just about anything I start, my initial beginnings with DA are of utter excitement. I feel this need to collect every last scrap of any kind of artwork that I actually have here in SD with me and post it. So, this morning, camera in hand, I began photographing my sketch book. My sketch book is generally born of little to no planning coming off the cusp of some diaria of the emotions, usually, And contains snippits of myself, some of which I can't even share with the people who mean the world to me. And here I am, camera poised, thinking "yeah, that's some raw emotion, that would show the DA community my passion." Somehow, I find myself suddenly willing to throw any scrap of my insides out for the entire world to see, things that, previously, have been for God's and my eyes alone. period. I guess there's something about not having to look the other person in the eyes when that kind of pain or selfish realization is presented. I'm not saying that these things shouldn't be shared, simply that if I, myself, can't bring myself to place them in front of at least one of my bosom buddies then there is no way in all of creation that they should find themselves posted on the net where one of the kids from the church youth group I work with can come across them.
I teach ceramics classes for kids and love it! Usually... Ok, not always during the teaching, but generally in the hindsight of it.... What?! Kids are not always the best listeners... and don't even get me started on the parents...
